bio
a brief history
after growing up in georgia, i spent time working at farms in florida, brewing beer in colorado, and making wine in napa before becoming head roaster for a small coffee company in boulder. we were lucky enough to win microroaster of the year from roast magazine in 2011. i then went back to california to focus on my winemaking career where i worked for other wineries large and small in napa, sonoma, and new zealand. in 2017, i founded tarpon cellars in california with the focus of making clean acid-driven wines that pair well with food. in 2023, i was named to the VinePair Top 50 tastemakers in the beverage space. after hosting wine dinners and pouring at music festivals across the country, i fell in love with the hospitality communities across the south and made my new home in charleston, sc. i believe in the power of food, the beauty of music, and the grace that comes from taking care of your mind + body. let’s make something beautiful.
